A PLACE FOR KINDRED MINDS

Who stewards the Commons?

The current responsibilities, moderation powers and limits of member governance.

Updated 30 October 2026

Who is responsible today?

Commons Hub is currently founder-led by Simon Falk, who stewards its development and operation. Simon operates a sole proprietorship.

A separate nonprofit entity and formal member-governance structure have not yet been established. The Hub should not be understood as an independently governed, registered nonprofit community at this stage.

Operational and governance questions can be sent to admin@auroraethica.org.

How moderation works now

Administrators review contributions and reports manually. Admin accounts can pin discussions, move posts to a more suitable forum and appoint other administrators. Account restrictions and content removal are moderation powers.

Forum owners can edit their forum’s name and description. Authors can edit or hide their own contributions. A company association does not grant moderation or account permissions.

Challenge ideas respectfully. Threats, harassment, spam, unlawful material and disclosure of other people’s private information are not acceptable. Credit sources and share material only when you have the right to do so.

Member voice: current position

Members can raise concerns, challenge moderation decisions and propose changes through discussion or the Hub contact. There is no established member voting system, elected moderation council or independent appeals body today.

Formal roles for members in moderation and policy remain open design questions. Any future arrangement should explain who decides, how people are appointed, how conflicts are handled and how decisions can be challenged before it is presented as established governance.

Changes should be visible

Material changes to these commitments should be reflected on these pages with an updated date. Research or training proposals require separate information and choices; changing a governance page does not create training consent.

Feedback about the governance design is welcome. Email the Hub contact with the policy or decision you want to discuss.
